Learning Styles

Learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience” (Kolb, 1984, p. 38)."
And because of this, various types of learning was implemented so that pupils and we ourselves can experience such, in order to be successful individuals.
To gain more knowledge on learning processes, styles or strategies, I have included a slide presentation on a page entitled "Learning Styles". Do enjoy!

Teaching Strategies

The term Teaching method refers to the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. Your choice of teaching method depends on what fits you — your educational philosophy, classroom demographic, subject area(s) and school mission statement. Teaching theories primarily fall into two categories or “approaches” — teacher-centered and student-centered.

ASSURE Model

The ASSURE Model is a guide for effective instruction to and careful planning. This model is designed to help you effectively integrate media/technology into your lesson or presentation - to help "assure" learning.

The Assure Model has six steps, represented by the acronym in its title that describes a set of tasks central to the informed selection and use of educational technology.

The tasks are:
            Analyze Learners
            State Objectives
            Select Media and Materials
            Utilize Media and Materials
            Require Learner Participation
            Evaluate and Revise

If you take the time to read the page the page entitled 'ASSURE Model Lesson Plan' you will gain a better understanding of how the model is effective. Happy reading!

Learning Theories

What are they? Well according to Wikipedia, I like their definition which stated 'Learning

theories are conceptual frameworks describing how information is absorbed, processed,

and retained during learning. Cognitive, emotional, and environmental influences, as well

as prior experience, all play a part in how understanding, or a world view, is acquired or

changed, and knowledge and skills retained'. If you take time to read the following page on

this topic, you will explore my knowledge about them before, present and what I plan to put

them in use in future. Enjoy!
